Summer Fun

This is our newest member of the family. She weighs in at one pound and 10 ounces. After much hair pulling we have finally decided on a name. Mi Poquita ~ My Little Bit :) Of course, we will be calling her Mia. Although she is the same breed as Sidney and comes from the same breeder she is very different from Sidney. The mask, the eyes and the ears are different. Her personality is sweet like her sister's but she is very independent and far more adventurous then Sidney was at this age. She is keeping me extremely busy. New fur kids require a lot of attention if your going to get them house trained properly and so far we are accident free :) I'm looking forward to the day I can watch Mia and Sidney play together. Right now Sidney is busy having an attitude and trying to pretend that Mia does not exist. Mia however would love to play with Sidney. Her tail wags and she jumps for joy every time she sees her sister. I'm hoping time and a lot of patience will make them best girlfriends.

Meanwhile, training camp was fun. As you can see by the smile on Tom's face. It's the only smile you will see on his face this year regarding the Vike's. Their team should be a real stinker this year. BTW ~ we did not get their phone number's so don't ask!

The annual June Steak Fry at Brandon's State Park was picture perfect! The weather was in the low 80's and there was no humidity!!!! Which of course means no bugs :) Sandy was enjoying adult time without children while Brett and Warren in the background were busy into their game.

The road race in Lennox on the 4th of July is a Blake family tradition. All his siblings and their families run/walk it every year. This year we had April with us and Tom ran his first 10k. It was extremely humid and miserable weather to run in but Tom impressed us all. The photo is not the best but it was the only one taken to mark such a historical event! We should have taken a before the race photo ~ I will remember that in the future.
